We very much regret that the festival screening of Sunshine on February 23rd has been cancelled. The screening was confirmed before the festival programme went to press, but the distributors have had to withdraw the film due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
In its place, the festival is very pleased to screen Darren Aronofsky’s film, The Fountain, in the same time slot, at 8.30pm in Cineworld Screen 17 on Friday, February 23rd. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. The running time is 96 minutes.
Anyone in receipt of a ticket for the Sunshine screening on the 23rd will receive the following:
An automatic refund of the ticket price
A free ticket to the screening of The Fountain by emailing their attendance to maeve@dubliniff.com
An invitation to a special Dublin preview of Sunshine before the film goes on release from April 6th.
We trust that this offer will make up for the disappointment caused by the withdrawal of the film from the festival.
